Come and see

Ehipassiko (come and see)
you’ll know
The Teaching of Peace
The Teaching of Love
The Teachings of the Buddha is for all
Who want to be free forever more

But don’t just believe
Investigate
Do not simply accept what you hear or see
Not even if it is uttered by ME (Buddha)

So don’t just agree
you’ve got to verify
When you know that it’s good
And it’s praised by the wise
Then live up to it for the rest of your life

Music/lyrics: Daniel Yeo 28 Oct 1999 Salford, England

  1. Someone who never see it, they never think of seeing it.

Someone who see it, they pretend not to see it.

Someone who see it, they really practise on it.

Yet, most of us belong to the first group, many of us in the second group and only a few of us in the last group.

Come and see, it is easy. It depends on your will and how much you really want to know about the truth.

Wishing all the being have chances to listen to dharma and practise on it.
